Von asked:
My understanding is that most (but not all) diamonds from Canada are conflict-free. However, living in the US, there are stores that are staples in the jewelry business (Tiffany’s, De Beers, etc.). Does anyone know which of them use strictly conflict-free diamonds? Or if any of the companies even mention what they do about the problem?

Can we really trust the big diamond corporations?
The true is that there is no way to tell a “conflict-free diamond” from a “conflict diamond”, no bar codes, no serial numbers, all we have is the word of the diamon dealers; that’s why many war lords and those in the black market get richer and richer with the blood and sweat of their victims.
All diamonds no matter were they come from are bloody diamonds, because when you pay for a “clean” diamond you also set the price for the “blood diamonds”.
The point is, if no one buy diamonds (conflict-free or not) then the “conflict diamonds” would be worth less. No demand, no blood.
