An Ultrasonic cleaner is best for diamonds, but Windex and a toothbrush work fine also.
On the unpolished wood, only if not sealed at all, use some oxalic acid (called cleaner - conditioner - brightener & found in deck care area at Home Depot) to remove any dark spots and brighten up the wood. You can use tounge oil to seal them and it’s easy to touch up.
As far as pollished wood I would have to know what it’s pollished with first.
1. What about alcohol? (The cleaning type) Drop some on a toothbrush and brush it softly. Sorry, but I’ve never tried it myself, so don’t get too dissapointed.
Diamonds are easy a soft toothbrush and either ammonia or toothpaste. The Ultrasonic cleaner is nice, but it’s something else to buy and store.
However if your diamonds are used with other stones, you need to be careful. Some stones don’t like ultrasonic cleaners or ammonia. As a rule the ole toothpaste is the safest, cheapest way to keep the gems sparkling.
There are many good commercial items on the market. Depending on type of wood and your climate, a good hardware store should be able to make sure you buy the right product.

Diamonds: water and ammonia, soft toothbrush. Sorry, don’t know about wood decor, but I clean my wood furniture with Murphy’s Oil Soap.

Toothpaste and soft brush for diamonds. A good furniture polish will do wonders for wooden pieces of all types.. Good luck and God Bless. {:-)

clean diamonds with either - hot water and tablet of steradent - for cleaning false teeth, for 20 mins or so, or alka seltzer! really works
